I recently announced that I am retiring after my current term is completed. Dori is running for the position of District Court Clerk in May, 2018. She was a colleague of mine for 14 years while she was the District Court Clerk in Colfax County. I hired Dori after my former Chief Deputy of 14 years, Paula Whitney, announced her retirement. There was nobody inside or outside my office that could step in and perform this job at all levels. It was such a relief knowing Dori was available and could step right in knowing what is required of the clerk’s position. Not only does she understand the administrative side of the office; she also understands each employee’s job, the processes and the JUSTICE system completely. Dori is a great facilitator and has been instrumental in our office, the changing of procedures and dialogue with the District Judges as we are taking on additional duties as a pilot project for the State Court Administrator’s office. She has an additional 20 years of court experience from her time as a child support paralegal and a county court employee. I am really enjoying this last year of my term and that is largely due to Dori Heath. I hope you will vote for Dori in the Republican Primary on May 15, 2018."
